FAQ

Toowoomba Bushwalkers run a range of walks of different lengths and difficulty levels.
If one walk isn’t suitable, there will likely be another you can do instead.
We also have social outings, or you could just come camping.

Our experienced and helpful walk leaders are always willing to provide advice about upcoming walks, and seek to help enhance the ability and confidence of all participants.

Everyone always makes it home safely.

We have more information here, including walk difficulty gradings provided ahead of each walk

Club members are from all walks of life, and all stages of life.
While fitness or ability may vary between members, no matter how little walking you have done before you will find kindred spirits and feel supported.
It doesn’t take long to establish friendships as we walk and socialise together – and what can be better than friends enjoying a shared interest?

Yes, our insurance requires a Visitor Waiver to be signed, but allows for attendance at up to three activities before applying for membership.

Why not come along – you might just find you love this activity as much as we do!

A positive outlook is invaluable!

But we also recommend:

  • Sturdy high-sided walking boots for ankle protection
  • Small backpack to carry everything
  • Water bottles (or water bladder) for at least 2L per day
  • Food and medications
  • Mobile phone, and emergency contact details
  • Basic first aid kit
  • Hat and clothing for protection from the sun, wind, rain and cold with consideration that weather conditions can change
  • A financial contribution to your driver if you carpool, and for a coffee stop afterwards (which is a popular after-walk activity!)
